The Challenge
G4S Holding registers a significant amount of data. The data is stored and processed in several different systems. The new system to be developed takes data from these heterogeneous systems. The source systems to be incorporated include, among others, SAP –ERP, SAP stock –Excel, Oracle-based registers, Excel reports.
The Approach
IBCnet has set up a data warehouse-based management IT system to provide a tool for managers, with which the data stored in the operative database handling systems used by the company can be entered in the data warehouse following an appropriate structure, and, due to its searching and report generating ability, it can provide information for different studies and a stable foundation for management decisions. Besides previously defined fixed reports, it also enables the handling and displaying of ad-hoc and OLAP reports and indicators.
Achievements
The VIR prepared covers the company’s areas such as cash logistics, security technology and security services. The developed system intends to satisfy the organization demand for information, making it possible, besides ordinary fixed reports, to handle ad-hoc and OLAP reports and indicators, and display scorecards. The system provides up-to-date information for users on company results.
